About Liz
Photography by Liz is currently on hiatus and is temporarily not accepting any new clients.
Liz has decided to take a much needed break in order to focus on starting a family with her husband. Current clients have nothing to worry about, as Liz isn't going anywhere, just needs to lighten her load for next year. Liz expects to be taking on clients again mid 2012. Thank you!

My name is Elizabeth (Liz) Mesler. I am married to the man of my dreams and living in the Buffalo, NY area. My passion for art and photography have always had a big influence in my life. So I headed to Buffalo to Major in photography at the University at Buffalo where I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2006. I then started my business, Photography by Liz, in 2007.
My degree in fine art photography is evident in my work. My photographic style is a beautiful mix of photojournalism, fine art, and traditional. I focus on capturing real moments and real emotion rather than the stale traditional posed shots. For me, wedding photography is about providing a moment for brides and grooms to soak in the moment and enjoy the realization that they are finally married! Then I simply enjoy capturing the real love and excitement between husband and wife!
Portraits are a true passion of mine. I love capturing genuine emotion, priceless
moments, and people just as they are. It is my goal to bring out your personality in your images. For me, photography is capturing memories, moments in time, so you can hold onto and treasure them a little longer. As we all know, children grow up too fast and families can change and grow quickly, so we need to

capture every moment along the way. I offer maternity photography, newborn photography, baby photography, child photography, family photography, engagement photography, senior portrait photography, and more.
I am a one woman show. I work alone, except for my assistants who help me the day of the wedding. For that, I like to keep it in the family, using my sister ( an art teacher), my brother (a videographer), or my husband (free labor). Otherwise, it's just me doing all the editing, etc. So, that being said, I try very hard to do my best and make your images look as amazing as they can, but sometimes it can take a while. Editing a thousand to two thousand images at a time can take days, plus exporting them from my program takes several hours, as does uploading them to the internet. So, be ware that this can take a while, but believe me it's worth it!
