Frequently Asked Questions

How would you identify your photographic style?
My photography is fun,  modern, romantic, photojournalistic, and artistic with just enough traditional.  I  love to capture the intimate and romantic moments between husband and wife on their wedding day.

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?

I am very skilled in digital enhancing techniques which include; black and white, sepia coloring, softened glow, high saturation, and many others. These are seen in my work on a regular basis and are included at no additional charge.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?

Yes, all lighting situations have their own wonderful qualities and I try to take advantage of them all when I am able.

Is your media preference film or digital?

I shoot primarily with a Canon 7D digital SLR camera.

How many photographers do you work with?

Just me, but I work with another wonderful photographer on occasion who can be hired on as a second photographer.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

Yes, I am it.  Unless of course, by cause of some unforeseen circumstances out of my control, I would send a fellow photographer in my place. (This has never happened before and would be reserved for extreme cases, such as a medical emergency or natural disaster.)

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one wedding in a day? Weekend?

Perhaps more than one in a weekend, but never two in one day. I always tell my couples that their day is all their's. I will be there for as long as they need me.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the wedding day?

Yes. If by cause of some unforeseen circumstances out of my control, I would send a fellow photographer in my place. (This has never happened before and would be reserved for extreme cases, such as a medical emergency or natural disaster.)

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

My camera, back up camera, flash, back up flash, reflectors, and several memory cards.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

Yes.

Do you charge hourly or full day?

Full day. I always tell my couples that their day is all their's. I will be there for as long as they need me.  So, if they want me there at 6am to catch them waking up till 1am when they leave the reception - I'll be there. :)

Do you require a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party provide your meal?

Yes, I require a meal for myself and my assistant and that the B&G provide it. This usually occurs during dinner. The B&G must also make sure that myself and my assistant have a seat to eat it.

Do you charge for travel?

Yes, but only if the distance is over 2 hours away. If you are willing to cover the cost to bring me out to your location I will gladly capture your day for you! I require that the cost of travel and a hotel room (if necessary) is covered.

Will images be available for viewing on an online gallery?
Yes. The online gallery is available to you and all your friends and family to be able to view and order any prints you or they would like.  Click on the Online Gallery tab at the top of this page.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?

Online proofs are normally ready to be viewed about 4-6 weeks after the wedding day. Printed proofs will be completed approximately 1-2 weeks after proofs are posted online to allow for printing time at the lab.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?

I offer proofs both printed in a digital proofbook and online. I find printed proofs are much easier to show people and online is easier to order from.

How long can the couple keep the proofs?

Forever! They are theirs to keep and show off to all their friends and family.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?

Yes, but the copyrights and full resolution files of the whole wedding can be purchased for only $100 with the purchase of any package.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

Yes. My wedding contract includes a copyright release to allow me to use pictures for advertising.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the couple?

The copyrights and full resolution files of the whole wedding can be purchased for only $100 with the purchase of any package. However, any images chosen to be printed as part of a package or from the add-on section will be placed on a disc for the bride and groom at no charge.  And all the images from the wedding will be saved onto a disc at web resolution with Photography by Liz's Logo for you to post online

What kind of albums do you offer?
I offer several digital albums that are custom designed to tell the story of your day. Some include photographic prints that are mounted directly onto the pages, others are printed pages in a bound book. My two most popular are Bella and Superior, as can be seen in my packages.
